Special Collections at the University of Southern Mississippi holds more than 1600 collections that document Mississippi history, children’s literature, the legacy of Southern Miss, and the history of the Gulf South. Topical strengths include the civil rights movement in Mississippi, timber and lumber industries, local history, economic development, children’s literature, Mississippi politicians, railroads, the American Civil War, and other wars and conflicts.
This search allows users to explore guides to these manuscript collections as well as materials documenting the history of the University of Southern Mississippi, Mississippiana vertical files, and genealogy vertical files.
