Biographical / Historical

Powell G. Ogletree earned a Bachelor's degree at Mississippi Southern College in 1948 and a Master's in 1951. He served as Executive Director of the USM Alumni Association from 1953 until his retirement in 1987. He was president of the Hattiesburg Rotary Club in 1965-66 and 1966-67, and served two terms as District Governor, Rotary District 6840 (1979-80 and 1988-89). Mr. Ogletree died June 11, 2005.
