Biographical / Historical
Shelton Baptist Church has been a part of the Shelton community in Moselle, Mississippi since 1907, and is still an active church in the community today. The booklet in the collection contains the names of the sixteen founding members of the church as well as a list of church staff from 1907 to 2007. The booklet also includes a timeline of church events from 1907 to 2007, and these events include information on church finances and clergy changes. Shelton Baptist Church’s affiliations include Jones County Baptist Church Association, the Mississippi Baptist Convention, and the Southern Baptists Convention. In 2007, the church celebrated its centennial; the items in this collection are souvenirs and memorabilia from that celebration.
