Biographical / Historical
Dr. Robert J. Tuley was a Professor of Music at the University of Southern Mississippi from 1971-1998. He was the principal administrator of music education prograpms at both undergraduate and graduate level for a decade. Prior to coming to USM, he taught elementary and secondary music in the public schools of Iowa and Kentucky for 13 years.
Dr. Tuley attained a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Music Education from Murray State University, followed by an Ed.D. from the University of illinois in 1967.
Patricia Tuley was a local piano teacher. She also attended Murray State University, recieving a Bachelor's of Music Education.
