Scope and Contents This collection contains papers, photographs, and physical materials of the 103d Infantry Division during World War II (1942-1945). This collection follows the soldiers of the 103d division as they train and deploy to Europe during WWII. Scope and Contents

The bulk of the collection contains various items and documents relating to the various activities of the Adams County Board of Police that were generated between 1840-1842 and 1850-1856. Warrants for payment to Constable Peter Laurence, road and bridge maintenance reports, and sundry license applications make up most of the collection, but there are also documents relating to the county alms house and allegiance oaths by Board of Police members.

The Committee on Services and Resources for Women (CSRW) honored Peggy Jean Connor during Women’s History Month by renaming their research grant for her because of her contributions to the University of Southern Mississippi and her legacy of activism. The materials include the proclamation by the CSRW, a copy of the plaque given to her and the documents of media coverage of the events.
