Original music composed by Dr. Albert E. Gower, Chairman of the Department of Music Education at The University of Southern Mississippi, for Mississippi's Junior Miss pageant and for the Miss Mississippi pageant, plus his "Symphony No. 1".

The William Henry Presser Collection contains original drafts and published works that were composed by Dr. William Presser, as well as works published under the Theodore Presser Publishing Co. Included in this collection are hymns by R.G. Lowry and a recital program for Dr. William Presser. This collection is of particular interest to those studying music and the inner workings of music composition.
The Stephen C. Rose papers include a broad range of materials spanning a significant portion of Mr. Rose’s life. His relations with Will D. Campbell and his participation in the SCLC’s Student Interracial Ministry project should be of interest to researchers of civil rights activities in the southern United States. The collection is divided into three series, two of which contain several subseries.
