Primarily publications (journals) in which articles written by Dr. Seymour have been published. Majority are foreign publications. Also included is a folder of personal memoribilia.
Correspondence, newspaper and journal clippings, and scrapbooks relating to the work of Dr. Raymond Seymour as a research chemist in private industry and as research chemist and professor in highter education. Also inclued are items relating to his work with chemical polymers.
This accession includes three plaques or framed items, (Dr. Seymour's Ph.D. diploma, a professor emeritus plaque from the University of Houston, and an award from the Manufacturing Chemists Association), in addition to a dozen books, journal articles or manuals.
Framed 1935 M.S. degree, publication catalogs, conference programs, technical papers and reports, copies of articles written by Seymour, newsnotes about Seymour, script and illustrations for the filmstrip "The Significance of Avogadro's Number", copies of books, plaques and awards given to Dr. Seymour.
Typescripts, page proofs galley proofs, illustrations, published articles and books authored by Dr. Seymour. These include Applications of Polymers by Seymour and Mark; 2nd edition by Seymour and Carraher (1988) as well as materials from a book by Carnes and Seymour and Dr. Seymour's biographical sketches of Eminent American Chemists. Also included are various published articles in foreign journals.
Copies of journals, journal articles and conference papers written by Dr. Seymour. Many of the journals are foreign. There are also copies of correspondence and drafts of publicaiton which Dr. Seymour authored. The collection also contains copies of theses and dissertations prepared by Dr. Seymour's sudents at the University of Houston as well as a variety of miscellaneous items and newspaper clippings.

Correspondence, programs, transparencies used with talks, typescripts of several books including Polymer Composites (1988), Modern Plastic Composites Technology and Giant Molecules (all authored by Dr. Seymour); Spanish scientific journals, and a notebook from a continuing education course offered in Houston, Texas, in the spring of 1970.
